Escribió su  libro mientras estaba confinado como prisionero. Además, en esta fecha se comparten libros y rosas.
 wrote it while he was locked down as a prisoner. Moreover, books and roses are shared on this day.

Parallel to this celebration William Shakespeare is supposed to have died on the same day, the same year as Cervantes, so, it is a good day for literature also in England.
